LOS ANGELES – The brothers of the Massive and Progressive 12th District met in Los Angeles for the 2024 Winter District Council Meeting on the campus of USC, Feb. 23-24, with the undergraduate brothers of Lambda Chapter taking the lead. 

For the last three years, the District has held its Winter District Council Meetings on undergraduate campuses. The 2023 meeting was held at UC Riverside (Sigma Eta) and at UC Berkeley in 2002 (Epsilon Mu). 

Friday night’s Spiritual Revival has become a staple of District Council Meetings. The revival serves as an opportunity for brothers to reflect, share testimonies, and ultimately leave encouraging and supporting each other.

Saturday’s meeting included an International Candidate’s Forum before the meeting began under the direction of 12th  District Representative Bro. William Edwards. Bro. Edwards provided an update on the state of the District, updated policies, and discussed the chartering of Gamma Xi Nu Chapter in Madera, Calif. Gamma Xi Nu gives Omega a fourth chapter in California’s Central Valley. Officer and committee reports followed in addition to separate leadership and membership training. 

The focus of the 12th District shifts to the 79th 12th District Meeting in Sacramento.
